In the second quarter of 2024, the US iOS platform saw varying trends among the top music and podcasts applications. Here's a snapshot of their performance, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.

YouTube Music displayed a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at $6.1M and peaking at $6.6M towards the end of April. Downloads remained relatively stable with minor fluctuations, hovering around 2K weekly. Active users showed a steady increase from 88.6K to 97.9K through the quarter.

TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound experienced a dip in revenue early in the quarter, dropping to $1.4M, but saw a rise towards the end, reaching $1.8M. Downloads stayed consistent around the low 100s, while weekly active users saw a slight decline from 16.5K to 15.8K.

SoundCloud: Discover New Music showed revenue starting at $1.3M and reaching highs of $1.5M twice in the quarter. The app's downloads ranged from 941 to 1.2K, with its active users starting at 175.4K and ending slightly lower at 177.2K.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast saw its revenue beginning at $1.1M and ending the quarter stronger at $1M. Downloads saw a peak at 208 in mid-May, with active users maintaining a level between 24.8K and 25.4K throughout the quarter.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports had the lowest numbers among the top apps, with revenue starting at $650K and seeing an increase to $609K at the end of April. Downloads remained under 100, with weekly active users showing modest growth from 927 to 978.
